Created in 2012 by a pair of ocean lovers, Laboratoires de Biarritz is the realization of grand ambitions: a project originated of the personal, family and environmental convictions of its founders. Indeed, dedicated surfers and trailblazers with an avant-garde vision, they were looking in vain for sunscreen that was safe for the skin and the marine environment. And so, the first certified organic suncare range of Laboratoires de Biarritz was born.

its rich biodiversity in the heart of the Basque Country,

Laboratoires de Biarritz has its own integrated R&D laboratory, giving the brand complete control over every step of product creation, from selecting active ingredients to the final formulation. Only ingredients that demonstrate exceptional performance are included in the formulas.

Laboratoires de Biarritz strongly believes that healthy and responsible beauty must inherently be natural. That is why they develop formulas that exclude controversial ingredients like parabens, endocrine disruptors, silicones, and unnecessary additives oÿen found in conventional cosmetics.

Biodegradable formulas, the careful selection of the materials used in our packaging, of our bulk materials, our refills... Having their own R&D department means they can access all the options available to them, so that they can continue their sustainability journey!

Laboratoires de Biarritz is a key player in the Basque country economy. Offices are based in Biarritz, in the South-West of France, which allow the company to support the local economy.
The production chain is 100% based in the French department of
Pyrénées-Atlantiques, and most of their partners are all located in a
100km radius. Laboratoires de Biarritz favours using a local network and choose to support regional economy.

For over 10 years, Laboratoires de Biarritz R&D team has been taking into condiderations our planet’s limited natural resources and developing the most sustainable formulas possible, using the highest number of natural-origin ingredients possible. Over 90% of their products are COSMOS certified, which is renewed each year by audits carried out by the accredited body ECOCERT.
